Being a stalwart in Earth Science related branches since its inception in 1926 it is sad to see that the student and faculty members lack an email account or web space with the college domain. A survey conducted by MD showed an overwhelming demand among students for such personal space.

Buoyed by the response, we approached the authorities, but due to various hindrances, it soon became clear that its execution would not be possible. Hence, we conceptualized a solution by getting the ‘ismu.ac.in’ registered under Education & Research Network of India (ERNET).

Soon we could see the far-reaching impact and extensive services that could be provided to the ISMU community. Hence, we formed ICX- an ancillary organization of MD to cater to these services.
